How do I care for my leather tiles once installed ?
CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR LEATHER FLOOR
The care required for a leather floor is similar to what you need to do for a wood floor. Your leather floor will carry characteristics of the environment and the lifestyle of the area in which it is installed. It will develop both character and a lovely patina over time. While our Recycled Leather Tiles have a higher abrasion resistance than other leather tiles on the market, use will leave dents, scruffs, and marks. Normal maintenance includes, vacuuming with a soft brush, damp mopping with a very well wrung out mop. We recommend applying wax on a regular basis as needed depended on use. A routine maintenance is the application of wax 3 to 4 times a year. You can use liquid, carnauba-based TreWax Clean and Wax, applied sparsely with a mop, for ease of application. - Never place a rubber backed or non-ventilated rug or mats on top of tiles
- Wax floor tiles as needed, usually 3 to 4 times a year
- Wipe up spills immediately with damp (not wet) mop or cloth
- Wall tiles don't need wax once they have been installed
